In Transit : Queer Love Stories

Call for Submissions

Queer Love Letters & Stories

I am collecting stories, memories, and love letters from the queer community for an upcoming sculpture centered on queer intimacy, connection, and how we find one another.

This project is an archive of queer love; romantic, complicated, tender, fleeting, lifelong. I’m interested in the moment you met, the first spark, the slow burn, the missed timing, the chaos, the certainty. The kinds of stories we pass between friends late at night, or keep folded away for ourselves.

What I’m asking for:

  • A short story, memory, or love letter about how you met your partner

  • This can be joyful, messy, funny, quiet, heartbreaking, or unresolved

  • Length is flexible (from a paragraph to 500 words)

How submissions will be used:
Selected texts will be incorporated into a sculptural work exploring queer love as monument, archive, and offering. Stories may be used in full or excerpted.

Privacy & consent:

  • You may submit anonymously, with initials, or names

  • You may request your submission not be publicly readable

  • All stories will be treated with care and respect

  • You may withdraw your submission at any time before [date]

Queer love has always existed, even when it wasn’t documented, protected, or celebrated. This work is about holding space for those stories and honoring them collectively.

Thank you for trusting me with something personal.
